About The Artist |
|
I have loved art since childhood and have been blessed with opportunities to study with some of the great masters of our time, beginning with local artist & teacher Shirley Pharris. Shirley introduced me to internationally known portrait artist and master pastelist Daniel E. Greene. I was fortunate to serve as his assistant & class coordinator for Nashville workshops and accumulated over 225 hours under his instruction in New York & Nashville. I have attended workshops, lectures & demos with the following master artists to date: |
- Barbara Applegate
- Igor Babailov, M.F.A.
- Wendy Caporale
- Judith Carducci
- Margaret Dyer
- Cedric Egeli
- Calvin Goodman
- Daniel Greene, N.A.
- Charles Gruppe’
- Ray Kinstler, N.A.,AWS
- Michael Shane Neal

I will continue to be a student of art as long as I live, sharing the same desire as that of the great Michelangelo, "Lord, grant that I may always desire more than I can accomplish.”
A member of the Monthaven Art Society, American Society of Portrait Artists and the Fellowship of Christians in Portraiture.
I am currently accepting commissions for paintings in pastel and oil.
I am also accepting beginning and advanced students. See class information page. |
