Daniel Greenes workshop covered methods of painting masses, values, color, texture, etc., methods of observing and understanding color, color mixing in oil & its application to pastel, portrait palettes of the Old Masters and Impressionists revealed, professional portrait artist’s palette explained and discussed. Pastel instruction included mastering pastels, choice of materials, types of surfaces, techniques, framing, composition, pricing, working from photographs, promotion and critique of artists work.
